One of the easiest ways to keep clutter under control, is to manage it before it accumulates by doing small, simple things regularly. For example, you can make a habit to never leave a room empty-handed.
HOW TO: Every time you leave a room, take something that doesn’t belong there with you. Move it closer to its final destination, you don’t have to take it all the way. Next time you are heading in the direction of the final destination, take that item with you. That way things gradually migrate toward the place they belong.
I have a two-story house, so I pile things on the stairs that belong up and grab a few things each time I climb the stairs. My problem is I am always working on several projects at once. So I tend to have piles everywhere. Namaste, Andrea
I do the same thing – make a little pile by the stairs. Sometimes it stays there longer than I would like 🙂
This is an area of my life where I definitely need to make a change. I’m excited about participating in this challenge.
Super! Let us know how it goes 🙂
This is a great way of trying to keep things organised at home, especially at this time of year. I need to be organised before I can think clearly – my challenge is to get my husband and son to join in!
As ever thank you Olga – I’ve really enjoyed your book club this year.
Hope you and your family have a very happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.
Best wishes
Helen
