Move your body
Feeling stiff and achy has a pronounced effect on your mood and overall outlook. We all know that we need to move more, yet, with everything else going on, you might run out of steam and motivation when it comes to your movement practice. I often find it useful to just roll out my yoga mat and lie down on the floor, intending to take few deep breaths. Then one thing leads to another, and before you know it, you’ve moved your whole body.
The yoga practice below follows the same principle. It starts you on your back with some deep breathing. You can do just that and stop there. Or you can continue and do some very simple movements on your back and stop. Or you can continue with the practice and see where it takes you. There are no difficult poses in this practice, yet it still mobilizes all major body parts with simple movement, as well as deepens your breath and awareness. Give it a try and let me know whether or not this “lazy yoga practice” makes you feel a bit less lazy 🙂
I enjoyed this gentle practice very much. Would also be great for a hot summer day. Thanks Olga!
