Step out of your comfort zone

The basic premise of the book Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers is that instead of sitting around and waiting for the day when we feel brave enough to do things we want to do, we need to face those fears and do it now. She asks us to acknowledge those fears as signs of growth and then push through them.
This week ask yourself: What am I putting off because I worry that I won’t succeed, that I won’t be good enough, that I will be ridiculed? And this week just do it (or at least take a giant step toward it). Acknowledge your fear and move through it. How does it feel?
Since I was hit by a car I have not felt as confident about taking yoga classes. This week I signed up for a 2 hour Restorative Yoga Workshop and reserved a room for a Fall Yoga Retreat. Still need to register for the retreat. Moving forward in spite of fear.
So sorry to hear about your accident Cynthia, and glad that you are taking gradual steps in spite of fear. I hope that your body responds well to the workshop and encourages you to take further steps on the path to recovery.
