Take a day off

It can be hard to take time off, especially if you are self-employed or work remotely. Work hours seep into family time, weekdays extend into weekends. There are always emails to be answered or one last task to be finished. Yet it’s necessary to take time to recharge and take your mind off work completely, so that you can enter the new week refreshed and reenergized. So this week make sure that you take at least one full day off from ALL work-related tasks.

HOW TO: Pick a day to take your time off. Enjoy your day and do whatever feeds your soul. Make an effort not to do anything related to work, even reading work-related stuff. Read something light for pleasure instead. Give your brain a break and then see how it reflects on the week that follows.
