Sleep, as Shakespeare so poetically declared, is “the chief nourisher in life’s feast”—a restorative act that feeds not only the body, but the mind and soul. Sleep is not a luxury but a foundation of physical health, emotional well-being, cognitive function, and a positive outlook on life.
A constant stream of distressing headlines, endless screen time, and the unrelenting pace of modern life leave our minds overstimulated and our bodies tense. As worry and fatigue accumulate, deep rest becomes harder to reach. That’s why we invite you to check out our new webinar series, Reclaim Your Calm: Yoga for Better Sleep.
Each of these yoga series covers a specific layer of your system (structural, energetic, physiological, mental-emotional). Each series includes videos of multiple yoga practices, in-depth articles with reasoning for why we do what we do in our yoga practices, and short video overviews of the most important points in each chapter. You can do the practices included in this series in order or pick and choose the ones you need most.
Balance isn’t just about staying steady on one foot—it’s the foundation of every movement you make. Whether you’re navigating stairs, playing sports, going on hikes, or simply getting out of bed, maintaining steady balance helps you stay safe and active.
Our ability to balance can and should be trained, both in static positions and in motion. Balancing is a complex process involving many bodily systems; that is why, in this yoga series, we approach it from several different angles.
This series consists of fourteen chapters. Each chapter introduces a specific strategy you can use to train your balance.
In this series, we will tap into the power of ancient techniques, neuroscience, and modern psychology to access our powerful inner resources.
Throughout the series, we will begin to understand different aspects of ourselves, face our mental hang-ups, develop our inner strength, and connect to our own healing potential. When the world around us seems chaotic and unpredictable, yogic mental training techniques help us stay grounded, centered, open-minded, and connected to our natural inner peace.
This yoga series is expansive in its scope and blends together the biomechanical understanding of the physical structure of the body with traditional yogic ideas about the essence of health and vitality. This yoga series is centered around your spine and is meant to increase its mobility and stability. We also view the spine as a primary conduit for energy flow within the body.
Throughout the series, you will increase your physical strength and movement capacity and try progressively more challenging poses that are meant to strengthen, stretch, and stabilize every part of your body. You will also work on building your vitality and resilience from within by ensuring smooth energy flow in every major direction so that every cell in your body gets nourishment to do its job without hindrance.
These therapeutic yoga series give you a chance to focus on a specific issue. Each series includes six yoga practices, a bonus short practice video, and printouts of all seven practice sequences. Each series starts with shorter, more accessible practice and then gradually builds in length and intensity. We recommend that you do each practice within the series at least three times before moving on to the next lesson to make sure that your body becomes familiar with the movements and integrates them.
